I can't believe how fast time goes by. Olivia has turned into an AMAZING young woman! I'm so blessed to have her and I hope she knows how much I appreciate all her effort to help around the house and with the twins. She is so fun to be around, I really love this age, I love that she likes to just hang out with me and go everywhere with me. I truly couldn't imagine my life without her. Surprise Getaway!

John surprised me with a getaway last night over at the Marriott Hotel here in Logan. It was really nice. The room was huge, the scenery outside was beautiful right along the Logan river, and dinner at the Elements was AMAZING! It couldn't have been more perfect! Thanks Babe~

It's getting close!! It looks like we just might make it in before Christmas!! They are tape and texturing now, and will be ready for siding and rock next week. We'll start the flooring in about three weeks, maybe four. We are hoping to do the flooring during Thanksgiving break. We feel so blessed, especially with the house we are renting right now, it's been great!

Today I start packing for the BIG move....around the corner. We have anticipated this day for 8 months and now it's here! We are so excited about this new adventure, but a little sad about leaving the house and neighbors. So many fun times! But the really cool thing about this move is, all I have to do if I miss my neighbors is walk around the corner to visit them. Pretty cool. John is mourning all the hard work that went into the yard, but is excited about the possibilities with the new one. I have to admit as well, I'm mourning all the painting I did in this house, but I know that the new owner loves it so that makes me feel better. So here's to you HOUSE~ thanks for all the great memories... You'll be missed.

Yesterday Olivia was awarded the "Hope of America" award at school. The award says that Olivia has demonstrated the capacity for leadership, ethical and moral character and outstanding academic accomplishment. We knew she was receiving the award last week, but decided not to tell her so she could be surprised. In the first picture she just realized I was at the assembly, in the second picture are all the recipients, in the third picture is Olivia with her teacher Mrs. Skeen, and in the last photo is Olivia with the superindendent Mr. Garrett. We are so proud of Olivia, she has always been so self-motivated~ keep up the good work Olivia, we love you.

Jayben turned 8 on the 30th of April, but waited for this weekend to get baptized because my parents wanted to come up for all the festivities (the twins birthday and the graduation) so it worked out really well. I'm so happy for Jayben~ he is such a sweetheart. I know that he really enjoyed his baptism~ he just couldn't stop smiling. It was a great day. I'm so proud of him and feel so honored to be his Mom.

Hunter turned 13 on Thursday!!! I can't believe I'm a Mom to a teenager!!! When did this happen? I can't believe Halloween is here already! Time is flying by too fast! The twins couldn't stuff their mouths fast enough, so consequently I couldn't really get a good picture of them~little stinkers! BUT......potty training is going really well now so I really shouldn't complain about anything.

Hunter looks forward to this holiday all year long so he's out and about with his best bud Bradley collecting quite a loot I'm guessing and I can't believe he's old enough to do so. The girls passed out....finally....after the sugar high wore off!

We leave the garage door open a bit for Mo so he can go in and out~ so when John was coming home last night he went to close then open the door again and Mo tried to run under the door as it was closing and was killed. This really is so sad, he was the most loving cat. I was really hoping to keep this one for a really long time, but unfortunately having a pet just isn't in the cards for the Sanchez family. We will definetly miss the little guy. Needless to say we won't be venturing a new pet ever again because it's just too hard to get attached to them and have them leave. We buried him in the backyard and the kids would like to make a little headstone for him tonight. I think this is going to be a hard week for the Sanchez family. :(

I can't believe summer is over, it's a bit sad for me. I love having the kids home and enjoying just being kids. They all had a great first couple of days and I enjoyed visiting with some friends I haven't seen all summer, so all in all a great first week back. Hunter is in 7th grade OMGsh~ that is so crazy to me. Olivia is in 5th and Jayben is in 2nd. I pray this year will be even better than last, filled with lots of learning and still tons of fun.

This is my sister A'lene. I hadn't seen her for almost 4 years! We really had a great time visiting and enjoying Lake Tahoe. I remember when I was younger going out on the Lake with my sister and tying our feet to the bouy and taking a nap~those were good times! I definetly miss that.

These are my nephews Tate and Matthew. They are soo fun. I just wish we could live closer to them so I could be an active part of their sweet lives.

These are my neices Jill and Hannah. Aren't they beautiful.... I really enjoyed spending some time with them~once again wishing we all lived alittle closer so we could be apart of their lives.

Uncle Bobby gets HITCHED in Tonga

John's youngest brother Bobby served his mission in Tonga and after his mission he went back and married Halaevalu Fonongava'inga Finau. She is wonderful~ quite shy, but you can tell Bobby adores her. His family had a reception for them in Nevada so we went down to celebrate with them.

This is Johns sister Paula. She lives in Reno. It was really fun getting to spend time with all of his siblings and their families.

And this is Jayben, it's really a bad picture, but my camera once again was giving me grief. He is quite the dancer, he loves to dance. Jayben and his cousin Marcello danced the entire night!

Olivia's 10th Birthday

We have been so busy this summer I haven't had a chance to sit down and post anything. I've missed it. So to make up for it I'll highlight some of the things we have done this summer thus far.

Olivia's party was on the 23rd of June and it was a pool party. She had a lot of fun. Two of her good friends came up from Lehi to stay for a couple of days which made her year. Alicia and Ashley both live in Lehi and Alicia moved about 7 months ago and she has been missed greatly. So this was a good reunion for the both of them.

Olivia also wanted to make individual cakes with fondant. They had a lot of fun decorating them. I can't believe Olivia is 10~time sure is flying by.

Today Olivia had her first experience with riding a horse. It was so fun to see her really enjoying the whole experience. My friend Dawn has four beautiful horses and invited us to go riding today. It was so cool because Dawn took time to show her how to prep the horse for the saddle by brushing her off really good and taught her about everything she would need to know when she got on her. Olivia was just soaking it all in~ Jayben and Hunter declined the opportunity to go which was sad because I think they would of loved it. All in all, it was a great day. We can't wait to do it again. Thank you Dawn, your the BEST!

I've fallen in love with this little kitty! And I really loath cats....well maybe not now. The kids have always wanted one and I have always put my foot down about it. I'm not fond of cats... I think they are gross. But then little Aqua came over one day and stole my heart. She is sooo cute. And the kids just love her too. John isn't so thrilled about it, in fact, he had to feel my forhead yesterday to make sure I was feeling alright when I agreed to keep and take care of this orphan kitty.

Olivia named her Aqua because of her pretty blue eyes! She has always wanted to name a kitty so we pretty much made her year.
So... I'm alittle crazy, but how can you turn away a face like that! :)

What can I say~ I'm thrilled that we made it through two years! I have really enjoyed this past year with them. I thought I would never say this, but I don't want them to get older. It's happening too fast for me! They are so fun right now; Chloe is quite the independent spirit, having to do everything for herself and a bit of a bully and then there is Macie, a free spirit, very loving, but very mischievous. I just love them sooo much. It's so wonderful waking up to their smiling faces everyday!

Celebrating Jayben's 7th Birthday

I cannot believe my baby boy is seven. Wow, time sure is flying by. Today we had a little party for him and it was a lot of fun. We played fun games, but the hit of the party was the marshmallow shooters. John made them from PVC pipe and the kids had tons of fun! It was fun to see Jayben with all his friends from school~his interaction with them. I don't get a lot of opportunity to volunteer in his class at school because I'm home with the twins so I miss seeing him interact with them so I really enjoyed that.

Just a few fun facts about Jayben. He is such a sweet boy~ often times I find him with the twins reading to them or playing with them. You can just tell how much he loves them. His favorite color is green. His favorite food is pizza. His favorite thing to do is play with friends and ride his bike. Jayben is not a morning person and he can sleep just about anywhere. Jayben loves to dance; one time at his uncle's reception he stayed out on the dance floor the entire night. The boy can dance! Jayben is such a joy to have around and I feel so blessed to have him in our family. Happy Birthday bud.

Conference Weekend April 2009

We had a really fun weekend. I love conference weekend. We can just relax and enjoy hearing from the prophet and apostles. No waking up early getting myself and kids ready for church, just relaxing and staying in pajamas all day! I love it. We also fixed a big breakfast, you know the artery clogging kind, it was very tasty.

We also had a guest for the weekend. Olivia's best friend Alicia came for the weekend. It was so great to see Olivia with her again. Alicia and her family moved to Lehi about 3 months ago and Olivia has been pretty heart broken. Thank goodness Alicia is only 2 hours away, I don't know what we would do if she was further.

We played conference 'bingo', thanks to Kristin (my super cool neighbor). The kids listened for key words and had jelly beans for markers. As soon as they got four in a row, they got to eat their jelly beans. It was a lot of fun, minus the twins who were a little disruptive, trying to eat everyone's jelly beans! All in all it was a good day. We even went for a walk down the Logan River Trail! The sun was actually shining and all the snow was gone! :)

Yesterday we celebrated Hunter's 12th Birthday! It truly seems like yesterday we took tiny little Hunter home from the hospital. He weighed in at 5 lbs. 7 oz. and only 16 inches long. He was a really good baby, slept fairly decent and had a hearty appitite. I'm so glad we were blessed with him first, to be the big brother and example for his siblings to follow. He is such a great kid; always so helpful, especially with the twins. He has a great personality. He is always making us laugh, a trait that comes from his Dad.:) He is always so appreciative of everything. I've never met a 12 year old so aware of their surroundings, especially others feelings. He has certainly proven to be trustworthy and honest~and I'm so proud of him for that. He is one of the most create boys I have ever seen; being creative started with Hunter at a really young age. He has an unbelievable imagination. He is currently working on creating his own video game, which has over a hundred characters that he has drawn, all with their own capabilities and super powers. He is even creating all the music for it. It feel so honored that I get to raise him and thank God everyday that he sent him to me. So here's to you Hunter, I love you and look forward to all the new adventures that await you.

Meal time around the Sanchez house has become quite a JOKE! None of the food we feed them ends up in their stomachs, no, it ends up in their hair, clothes, and floor. I know, I know what your thinking....why don't they have bibs on? Well, the answer to that is they hate their bibs and refuse to put them on! Plus they are such coppy catters, once one is throwing food the other thinks it fun to do the same. :( I'm going crazy!! My other children did not act like this when it came to food so this is all new territory for me, anyone have some seriously profound ideas because you have to know I've tried alot of things.....Okay Macie doesn't look so bad in this picture, but you should see the floor!!!

Our really close friends from Lehi came for the weekend... We have known eachother for 9 years and even though they live in Lehi now we make sure to see eachother once every couple months. Sometimes we go to their house and stay or they come up here. We always have a blast together and this time was no different. We stayed up way too late playing games and visiting, it's too bad that church started at 9 o'clock!! :) We enjoyed a Sunday nap and now we are getting ready to make WAFFLES for dinner...It doesn't get any better than that..So thanks Garcia Family, for coming to see us!

Well I thought I would post a few pictures from our Christmas morning... My parents arrived late Christmas eve so they were able to be there for Christmas morning which was really fun. The kids were really excited to see them so we didn't get to bed until after midnight. They did let us sleep until 8 the next morning which was really nice. We actually had to wake up the twins Christmas morning, which in my opinion is a CRIME, but the kids were just too excited. We had a wonderful morning; we ate, played, and ate some more. I think it's really hard to control yourself around such great food!!! All in all it was so fun creating such lasting memories with our children and I can't wait to do it again next year.

Trip to Salt Lake City

For our last activity for this year, we took the YW to see the Lights on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. We also went to see the movie about Joseph Smith at the Joseph Smith Memorial building and afterwards went to dinner at the Lyon House Pantry. The girls are always such a joy to be around. Jayben was super excited about this project in school. He learned about the first Thanksgiving with the Indians and Pilgrims. He learned about how the indians taught the pilgrims to bury fish in the ground for fertilizer to help produce really good corn. He also learned about indian symbols, which he really loved.

Ever since John has started his masters program I've noticed how exhausted he's been, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying the time he has with the kids. After saying hello to me, the first thing he does when he gets home is love on his kids. Even though he may be really tired from the days events; such as teaching 90 crazy 7th graders, working on his masters program, and then going to his second job (carpet installation) his face always lights up when he comes home. He truly is an inspiration.

So here's to all the hard working Fathers out there, trying to provide a great life for their families and even though it's HARD they still have big smiles on their faces......This is what life is all about........

We are so proud of Steven and Adam for graduating out of the program at Westridge Academy and Adam for getting his Highschool Diploma! I can't believe they are growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday when I was holding them as babies and now they are taller than me and definetly smarter than me!! I'm looking forward to their futures, I know they are going to do great things.

Adam has already made the decision to go with a BYU professor and some students to Peru to work in a Children's Orphanage for 6 months, although we will miss him we are really excited for this new adventure. We love you Adam.

This is my brother Curtis and his wife Liana. I know that today was a big day for them; the love of a parent is priceless. Curtis is such a wonderful Father and Husband and I'm overwhelmed at the love he shows his family. I love you Curtis.

Steven and Macie together at the Graduation. Steven is such a wonderful Nephew and has made great strides at Westridge Academy. He is so talented. At Westridge he was able to tap into alot of those talents; sports, of course, poetry, spirituality, and acedemics. We love you Steven and are so proud of you.

All in all, it was a great day! Thank you Curtis, for the opportunity to support such great boys. We already miss you guys!

Halloween a few days late!

Isn't this the cutest couple you have ever seen? Eeyor and Piglet, aka, Carter and Kenzley. These are the twins friends and they went to a Halloween party on Friday together, it was a blast! Of course the twins didn't participate AT ALL in the fun games and face painting, but fought the entire time over a baby stroller that wasn't even their's. Oh, the joys of having two girls the same age with the same exact interests!!! Can you even imagine what it will be like when they get older, HEAVEN HELP US!

Well here are the trouble makers, aren't they cute? They hated taking pictures and the costumes weren't their favorite, but we made it through. Why can't 18 month olds just cooperate??? They're adorable none the less!

Here are a few more pictures from Halloween. We attented our annual Trunk or Treat in the church parking lot that evening. Olivia dressed as a cheerleader and Jayben was the Unknown Phantom, his eyes would light up and he thought that was really cool. We unfortunately didn't get a picture of Hunter because he was off with his good friend Bradley for the evening, but he dressed as a Phantom as well. The twins had completely had it by then with Halloween; they just wanted to go home and go to bed! Also, the Young Women were practically in charge of the whole event so the night before we made yummy carmeled apples rolled in nuts, candy, marshmallows, white chocolate, dark chocolate, and toffee bits. Those were a hit! They also served donuts and hot chocolate to everyone; so thank you to all the girls and leaders.

Our 13th Anniversary

Wow, I can't believe its been 13 years. What a great reason to celebrate! Words cannot express the feelings of my heart about my Johnny, but I will say that my marriage is the BEST thing that has ever happened to me. Happy Anniversary John, I love you.

Grandma Campbell comes for a visit!

The kids love it when Grandma comes for a visit and I LOVE it too! It's a time for me to relax a little, knowing that I don't have to be everything for everyone, at all times. She is an incredible Grandma whether she is reading a book, playing slap jack and a variety of games, giving TLC time, helping with homework, or going on walks. She is genuinely interested in their little lives and doesn't get sick of hearing all of what they have to say; which is alot. She's a huge help to me around the house and a great cook! :) I can't imagine my life without her, especially this past year with the "twin adventure". Thanks Mom for being such a wonderful Grandma and still the best Mom ever.

Olivia's New Hair Cut

Well, it's official. My baby girl is growing up. She doesn't want ponytails and braids anymore. I guess I should be happy about that, but I'm not. I love doing her hair, despite the whinning and complaining the entire time and must say I'm going to miss it. I have to admit though, I love the new cut!

Escaped July 24th to the Wyoming Wind Rivers

John took his annual fishing trip in July for a week and took Hunter for the first time. They prepared the week before getting all the necessary things together; packing their back packs as lite as possible. After adjusting and re-adjusting for a couple of days, John's pack weighed 75lbs. and Hunter's 30lbs. It was hilarious watching Hunter trying out the pack, he was having a hard time just walking up the street, how was he going to make a steep 7 mile hike with that back pack on!! Despite that fact, they headed out at 3 am the morning of the 24th. Alot of prayers were said and tears shed but, Hunter did it and LOVED IT! (you'll notice Hunter's pack magically gets lighter as the hike gets harder, John is a wonderful Dad!)

Grandma Campbell comes for a visit and we go to the Dinosaur Museum

We went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point with my Mom. We really had a fun time together. The kids really enjoyed the sand room, the galaxy glow in the dark room, and the giant scale. We love that we can share such fun activities and memories together. Thanks Grandma Campbell, we love you.

Jaybens 6th Birthday April 30th 2008

I can't believe my baby is 6 years old!!! I also can't believe that he will be a 1st grader. It seems like yesterday he was born in the early morning hours on April 30th. John and I couldn't believe all that blonde hair he had. I remember being able to just sit with him in the delivery room for an hour after delivery and Jayben was wide awake looking at John and I for almost an hour. We knew Jayben was a very special boy. He was an amazing baby and now six years later he still is amazing. We love you Jayben!

OLIVIA'S BAPTISM JUNE 2007

A few months before Olivia's baptism we started having more indepth conversations about baptism and her desire to be baptized was very clear. She wanted her Grandpa Campbell to talk on Baptism and our good friend Liz Garcia to talk on the Holy Ghost. After the baptism, we had everyone write notes to Olivia expressing their thoughts and feelings to her on her special day; in the hope that she could always cherish her baptism. Here are some of what was expressed to Olivia............

"Livi, I am so proud of you and for your choice to be baptized. It has been so nice watching you grow up. Remember you have one more white dress to wear and be sure to keep your promises you made today to be able to wear your next white dress in the Temple."

"Dear Olivia, Thank you for being such a good example to Rachel and Lucy. We are so lucky to have you as a neighbor. We are so proud of you and your decision to be baptized. You have just made a big step in life."

"We love you. It has been so fun to watch you grow up. I am so glad that we can share this day with you. You are a sweet girl!"

"Congrats On your baptism! Today is one of the most important days of your life. Today you have stepped foot on the path back to our Father in Heaven! Livy, I love you. I hope you know how important you are to our Heavenly Father's Plan."

Olivia, we love you so much. My life is so blessed because your in it, you are such a good example to your brothers and sisters. Your desire to follow Jesus, and his teachings will be the most important thing you will ever do. I'm so glad all of our friends and family could be apart of this special day.

Trying to Create a Journal for our Family!

Hi Family and Friends! You'll have to be patient with the next few posts because I'm going to back tract alittle for selfish reasons. I want to use this blog to create a book for our family every year and I don't want to miss anything of importance to us. This means I may put photos of the children in years pass and so forth. SUPRISE Visit From Great-Grandpa Romero!

We knew that Uncle Roman and Aunt Monica were coming to visit after their visit to New Mexico this summer BUT we didn't know they were going to bring Great-Grandpa Romero with them. He had never met Jayben or the twins, so this was really a great suprise! Great-Grandpa said that he got tired of waiting for us to come see him so he came to see us.
