The Reason for the Season

Let us all remember this gift giving season, the real reason why we celebrate. The birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Giving, not getting, brings the true meaning of the Christmas spirit! I'm wishing all my friends and family a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks so much for the reminder...worldly things around us can easily take our minds off of the true meaning!

Great message Julee. I get so caught up in all the details and planning that it's easy to forget the reason for the season. Every year at Thanksgiving, I make a mental note to focus more on the Savior and less on the commercialization of Christmas... for some reason it's really easy to get distracted.

Your last post is so sweet. I really miss being in Young Women's. I loved the girls, the lessons were right up my alley, and the feeling you get while working with the youth is priceless! I don't know how you do it, with FIVE kids at home, but you're in a great calling. You are a perfect role model for those girls!
